Shelia Brown lives in Preston County, West Virginia and has been creating and weaving baskets for over 25 years. Shelia loves to weave traditional baskets that evoke nostalgic memories of the past. The baskets that in years past might have carried vegetables from the garden or eggs from the coop may hold toys or magazines today. She also loves creating contemporary baskets that are decorative yet functional and incorporate colors and various textures. Each basket possesses a charm of its own while bringing warmth and ambience to its surroundings. Shelia is a Tamarack juried artist and has been pursuing her art commercially since 2007. She currently creates over 600 different kinds of baskets and also accepts special orders.
